Signe Godfrey

Owner/President

Signe opened Olsten in Honolulu 24 years ago with a commitment to a vision she had of finding success through the success of others. She had a belief in the fundamental value of helping companies be more successful by finding quality employees for them and helping individuals find personal success by placing them in rewarding jobs. She has continued that philosophy of helping people and today has one of the most recognized and successful staffing services in Hawaii.

As president and owner of Olsten Staffing Services, Signe has guided her company for the past 24 years with that same commitment to the success of her staff and business associates. To better serve the business community, in 2009, Signe opened another division (Professional Executive Search) which serves clients with executive search needs.

Signe’s dedication to helping others not only characterizes her professional career but it defines much of her personal life as well. Signe has been recognized for her tireless work in the business community and volunteerism with non-profit organizations. Signe’s efforts with helping others include her participation in the following organizations:

Jana Moniz

Operations Manager/Executive Recruiter

Jana joined Olsten in 2004 and brought with her 13 years of staffing and recruiting experience. During her years as a recruiter was recognized a top recruiter for 5 years. She was also a branch manager of another staffing service, an entrepreneur for 10 years and in the travel industry for 5 years.

Jana has a passion for helping our clients with their search in finding the right person and has great satisfaction in helping people find the right career opportunities. When clients can remember you for how you helped them there is no satisfaction in the world that is as powerful as that.

Jana was raised in Kailua and has two children and five grandchildren. Jana’s free time is spent enjoying family activities and is actively involved in youth sports with her grandchildren.

Jana’s rich varied background helps her understand our client’s needs at all levels.

 


Beulah Olanolan

Business Development Manager

Beulah Olanolan joined Olsten as its Business Development Manager in 2010. Beulah was with Bank of Hawaii for 29 years having been a Corporate Recruiter and Staffing Specialist in Human Resources for 12 years, Commercial Banking Officer and Assistant Vice President in Business and Commercial Banking for 13 years. While at Bank of Hawaii, Beulah was recognized for three years as the SBA Honorable Mention Loan Officer of the Year and five years as Chairman Circle Award Recipient.

Beulah graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

Her community outreach activities includes:

  • Board of Director- Roy Sakuma’s Ukulele Festival HI
  • Board of Director- Hawaii Maoli

Randy Morris

Executive Recruiter

Randy Morris joined Olsten in 2009 to become its Manager of the Professional Team.  In 2011, Randy’s passion for fitness has developed into another business for Randy.  While he is still with Olsten, he has been working part-time helping his many loyal clients and filling their needs with great candidates.

Originally from Anderson, South Carolina, Randy was a High School All American Basketball player, and a division one player at Furman University.  Randy has been in the employment industry for the past 20 years and brings his discipline and persistence from his sports achievements to his job and continues to serve all his clients in that same manner.  You can count on Randy to provide great customer service.


Chris Cruthers Ng

Executive Recruiter

Chris joined Olsten in 2009, having worked in the industry for the past 20 years specializing in the construction/architecture industries. Her career was highlighted by being recognized as the top recruiter for 10 out of those 20 years. Chris was raised in an architecture environment as her father was an architect (Evan Cruthers) which gave her a strong background in understanding the construction industry and its related services. Chris also co-owned a carpet cleaning franchise and understands the challenges of a business owner.

Chris was raised in Hawaii and has a son who is in high school. Chris attended University of Hawaii both Hilo and Manoa campuses majoring in psychology. She was also in a band as the lead singer and continues her singing in church and other events.

Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Olsten and its clients.


Ryland Kiyabu

Executive Recruiter

Ryland recently joined Olsten in November 2011 and brings with him nearly 20 years of human resource and risk management background. He has a passion for helping companies with well-matched people and helping people find the right fit in a job.

Ryland was born and raised in Honolulu, and graduated from the University of Hawaii Manoa with a BBA in Human Resource Management. He loves travelling, and golfing. Like so many other local sports fans, Ryland is a sport fanatic as he loves football, basketball, baseball and volleyball.


Luana Brown

Senior Staffing Manager

Luana began her career with Olsten in 2005 and has created an extensive network of clients and job seekers.  Luana’s staffing experiences are due to her more than 15 years of being in the staffing industry.  This experience has helped Olsten attain some of its successes.  In 2007 she won a national Olsten contest for filling the most orders.  Luana has come full circle in the industry because she started as a temporary worker herself.  Raised in Kailua, Luana has strong local roots in the community having raised her family here along with her beloved grandchildren. Luana is a tennis player and loves sports, like youth baseball and soccer.


Sandra Hiyakumoto

Staffing Manager

Sandra Hiyakumoto, who likes to be called Sandee, joined Olsten in 2008 as the Vice President of Olsten’s Business Skills Academy. As a former trainer with a telecommunications company, Sandee brought her training skills to teach high school and college graduates customer service skills that are sorely needed in the workforce today. When the school closed in 2009, Sandee joined the staffing team as a Staffing Manager and has been servicing Olsten’s clients since then. Sandee’s talents come from being a Senior Manager in the Customer Call Center for 4 years, Senior Administrator/Quality Trainer for 8 years and 14 years in customer service. She was awarded Branch Manager of the year as well as being recognized twice for Branch Performer of the year.

Sandee was born Los Angeles and raised in Honolulu. She graduated from the University of Hawaii Manoa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development. She has a daughter who is an architect and a son who is studying engineering in college.


Brookes Phillips

Personnel Assistant

Brookes joined Olsten in 2006 and started as its Personnel Assistant. Her background with NCL Cruise Line and in retail, helped shape Brookes’ excellent customer service demeanor to all who call or walk into our office, everyone who meets Brookes, feels welcomed like a friend of the family.

Brookes was born and raised in Kailua and truly enjoys working with people. She has her Associate’s degree from Windward Community College majoring in business courses. Brookes’ belief in the company’s mission statement “Helping business by helping people” manifests in a way that makes everyone she meets feel that she will take care of your needs and do whatever it takes to do this.
